Current Leadership Positions
A Foundation in History and Art
Born in Grosse Pointe, Michigan, and raised among historic landmark mansions, Debby's love for architecture and design began early. Family vacations to heritage-rich cities like Charleston, Williamsburg, and Washington D.C. deepened her fascination with historic preservation. Her parents' extensive library of antique books and their appreciation for art further shaped her aesthetic sensibility.
After earning a degree in Interior Design with a minor in Art from Meredith College in Raleigh, NC, Debby spent five years in the furniture and design industry before launching her own practice in 2000. In 2005, she established her studio in Wilmington's historic district, bringing her childhood dream full circle.

DESIGN PHILOSOPHY
"Your home should be a natural extension of your soul," Debby believes. Her client-centered approach begins with deep listening—understanding not just aesthetic preferences, but life stories, travels, passions, and dreams. She sees herself as a translator, turning memories and experiences into tangible design elements.
Debby's work is characterized by a sophisticated blend of historic inspiration and modern luxury, what she describes as "eco-luxury"—sustainable design that doesn't sacrifice sophistication. She collaborates with local artisans and craftspeople, often incorporating reclaimed materials, antique pieces, and custom-made elements to create truly one-of-a-kind interiors.
